On Sept. 9, Mr. Ochiai Machio, CTO and Managing Director of Toshiba Solutions Corporation visited Tsinghua University. Ms. Ma Jun, Director of Scientific Research Institute Overseas Office, had a talk with Mr. Ochiai. After the meeting, staff of Toshiba Solutions Corporation had a technological interchange in Department of Computer Science and Technology, reaching a cooperative willingness.
On Sept. 22, Mr. Ito, Chief Engineer of Toshiba Power Company, and his group visited Tsinghua University. Mr. Cai Ningsheng, Director of Tsinghua University-Toshiba Energy Environment Center, and Mr. Lv Lei from Scientific Research Institute Overseas Office discussed recent joint projects and the preparation of the agreement of Sino-Japan Energy Reservation Forum, etc. with representatives from Toshiba.
On Oct. 20, Toshiba CTO Mr. Sudo Akira visited Tsinghua University. He talked with Ms. Ma Jun, Director of Scientific Research Institute Overseas Office, about the collaboration in water, battery and language processing, etc., and reached the agreement that in March, 2012, a report of the joint projects and management committee meeting of the Tsinghua University-Toshiba Energy Environment Center would be held. After the meeting, Mr. Sudo paid a visit to the Tsinghua University-Toshiba Energy Environment Center.
On Nov. 25, Vice President of Tsinghua University Mr. Xie Weihe met with Mr. Watanabe from Toshiba, and Mr. Saitou, Director of Toshiba R&D Center. They reviewed the collaboration in fields of energy and environment. Mr. Xie Weihe suggested that in addition to the current cooperation in technological research, Tsinghua and Toshiba could also cooperate in policy research and smart community model, etc. Ms. Ma Jun and Mr. Cai Ningsheng accompanied the guests.
On Sept. 22, Mr. Bubo Yuu, Vice Director of LSI Commodity Office of Rohm, Mr. Qi Peiheng and Mr. Zhangyue, Managers of Rohm, visited Tsinghua University. Mr. Lv Lei from the Scientific Research Institute Overseas Office talked with the representatives of Rohm, discussing the proposing process, results and problems in cooperation. He also introduced the cooperative modes and project selections that can be used by other companies. Both sides expressed the wish to expand cooperation in LSI.
On Oct. 28, Mr. Xie Weihe met with Mr. Shimada Keiichiro, SVP of Sony Company. Vice President Xie hoped that Tsinghua and Sony could reinforce their collaboration, expand cooperative content and area. Ms. Ma Jun introduced to the guests the general collaborative situations and modes of Tsinghua University and famous overseas companies. After the meeting, the guests from Sony Company visited the joint project, intelligent supervising, control and analyzing system.
