Jan. 14, 2011, Tsinghua (Department of Thermal Engineering)-Toshiba Energy and Environment Research Center Annual Meeting & Management Committee Meeting was held. Mr. Yuan Si, Vice President of Tsinghua University, and Mr. Ichiro Tai, Vice President of Toshiba, attended the meeting and highly praised the cooperation projects between Tsinghua and Toshiba. Mr. Yuan Si pointed out that, the energy conservational and environmental protective technological researches carried out by both sides comply with the environmental friendly and low-carbon trend of the world, and is practically significant. He hoped that the future cooperation could advance with the times and achieve mutual benefit, in favor of the business development of Toshiba as well as the research and personnel fostering of Tsinghua. Mrs. Ma Jun, Director of the Overseas R&D Management Office, gave a conclusion speech to the meeting, hoping that both sides could raise the bar for future cooperation. Over 70 research personnel attended the meeting.
