On October 29 the 10th Steering Committee Meeting of the Tsinghua-Toyota Research Center was held at Tsinghua University. Kang Kejun (Vice President of Tsinghua University), Jiang Peixue (Executive Deputy Director of Office of Scientific R&D), Ma Jun (Director of Overseas R&D Management Office), Zhen Shuning (Deputy Director of Research Organization Management Office), Takeshi Uchiyamada (Vice President of Toyota), Suzuki Shigeki, Isogai Masashi (Managing Director of Toyota), and Esaki Masataka (Deputy Director of Toyota Motor Technical Center –China) all took part in the meeting.
At the meeting reports were given on research progress within the center for the first half of 2010, and discussions were undertaken on the framework agreement for the second phase of the center. Hao Jiming, Director of the Tsinghua-Toyota Research Center, delivered a report of the progress of each collaborative project in detail. The steering committee gave high praise on the achievements of the center. Ma Jun introduced the key points of the framework agreement for the second term. The steering committee discussed and reached an agreement on the framework agreement for the second term. Both sides agreed on their hope to maintain the collaborative partnership, to deepen the comprehensive cooperation and to promote common development.
