On November 5 Ma Jun, Director of Overseas R&D Management Office of Tsinghua University and Giuseppe Bilardello, Director of KONE Asia and China R&D Center, signed a research cooperation agreement, marking the start of the cooperation project between Tsinghua University and KONE.
KONE is one of the world’s leading elevator and escalator suppliers, and is well-known for its advanced technology. KONE has long attached great importance to its development in China, and hopes to reinforce its influence in the China market and to accelerate the technology localization through the cooperation with Chinese leading universities. KONE expressed their hope that the cooperation with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering will lay a good foundation for further comprehensive cooperation with Tsinghua.
